DESCRIPTION:This two-part course is an introduction to the Basis of Union\, a document that serves as the missional foundation for the UCA. This course will have a strong focus on how the Basis of Union gives expression to the Mission of God\, the Faith of the Church and how the UCA is structured to share in the ongoing ministry of Jesus Christ. All members of the UCA are encouraged to undertake this course. SUMMARY:Uniting Church Studies Part Three - Sacramental Practices
DESCRIPTION:The sacraments proclaim the gospel and inform the rhythm of the Christian life. This course will explore God’s love\, grace and reconciling work reflected in and through Baptism and Holy Communion. The course will guide learners to a theological understanding of why the sacraments are conducted\, and offer practical guidance for how we conduct them. Completing this course\, and its relevant assessment\, are essential components for Presbytery approval of Lay People presiding at the sacraments.  Participants should have previously completed Uniting Church Studies 1 & 2 or equivalents.
